GIVING THE HEADBAND A ROYAL TOUCH

by Ioana Stefan 15 Aug 2021

If you haven’t fallen in love with the way Kate Middleton flaunted her Zara headband last year at the Royal Albert Hall, you have not looked closely enough. She was looking like a star. And that brings us to the next question – Which of the Royals loves to wear headbands? It turns out, many Royals love sporting the look, both young and old. Let us see which.

Princess Beatrice & Princess Eugenie

The two Royals, back in the early 2000s, looked beautiful in their pink and mauve jackets at a thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Cathedral hosted to honour the Queen Mother on her 100th birthday.

Kate Middleton

In a cream ‘hat band’, Kate Middleton rocked her look at the christening of Prince Louis by one of her favorite designers, Jane Taylor. The ivory headpiece, a padded and foamed wonder, featured appliqué flowers.

Princess Charlotte

Floral headbands are a rage since one of the Royals, our lovely Princess Charlotte, sported one when she attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Princess Diana

Well, when we are talking about the Royals, can we forget the royal diva, Princess Diana? She sported the headband look way back in 1986 at a dinner hosted by Emperor Hirohito in Japan. She rocked a show stopping blue pleated dress to go with her sapphire-and-diamond-encrusted headpiece.

Princess Eugenie

We champion the cause of the headband, especially the way Princess Eugenie, wearing a black silk piece on a festival like Christmas Day for service at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, rocks the look.

So, it is evident that the Royals love sporting headbands of all kinds. They have inspired many a fashion lover to adopt their looks and sport similar headpieces. In India, headband fashion fever is high as well, and if you want perfect twist knot headbands or embellished turban headbands to buy and wear, do check the Milinnery.com
